About The Role

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our catering team. Working within the kitchen and dining area you will help to provide nutritious and enticing home cooked meals for the patients in our care. You will be responsible for ensuring mealtimes are an enjoyable part of the day, engaging patients in the dining experience.

Huntercombe Centre Sherwood provides rehabilitation and residential care to adults with learning disabilities and mental health problems.  We are located 2 miles from Nottingham city centre and 6 miles from junction 26 on the M1.

As a Kitchen Assistant your main duties will be:

  • Provide excellent quality meals within the hospital, with the aim of achieving the highest levels of satisfaction for patientsin our care.
  • Developing a positive relationship with all patients, staff and other visitors to the hospitalby becoming an integral part of the team.
  • Preparing dining areas to create a safe and enjoyable environment for patientss at mealtimes.
  • Maintaining a clean hazard free kitchen and dining area in order to minimize risks to patientsand employees of the hospital.
  • Working safely within company policies, seeking advice and guidance when necessary
About You

To join the team as a Kitchen Assistant you will have:

  • A good knowledge of food hygiene and food preparation
  • A positive attitude and a desire to deliver the best possible service to patients in our care.
  • Flexibility to work shifts with an adaptable attitude
  • The ability to communicate at all levels
