About The Role

We are currently seeking a Head of Therapies to join our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) at The Huntercombe Hospital Maidenhead, located in Taplow 4 miles from Maidenhead and 1 mile from junction 7 of the M4 motorway.

The hospital is a 60 bed Tier 4 CAMHS hospital for young people aged 12 -18 years with a range of mental health disorders and includes the following units:

  • Adolescent Care

  • Acute Psychiatric

  • Eating Disorders

We provide comprehensive assessment and treatment programmes working collaboratively with patients and their families or carers.

Most patients and residents are referred via NHS and local authorities. We play an integral part in contributing to new models of care outlined in the Five Year Forward View.

Our specialist inter-disciplinary therapy team is pivotal in the lives of our patients, providing treatment and support to achieve their rehabilitation goals and personal aspirations.

As the leader of our highly skilled interdisciplinary team you will;

  • Be a therapist with current HCPC or professional registration

  • Operationally manage and supervise the therapy teams Psychology, Family Therapy, Dietetics, Physiotherapy, Creative Therapy and Occupational Therapy.

  • Work closely with and report directly to the Service Director

  • Have a strong clinical background and maintain a clinical remit dependent on your skill set.

  • Be an innovator, an educator and a mentor who provides robust representation for therapy services within the Senior Management team and the Huntercombe Group.

  • Carry out audit, policy and service development and research activities and/or programmes. The post holder will also propose and implement policy and service development changes within HHM.

  • Be responsible for developing and implementing standards across Therapy Services within THG Maidenhead which support professional leadership, competence, capacity and standards of conduct.

  • Working with senior management, to define and implement new ways of working to maximise the benefits to deliver gains in cost and clinical effectiveness and efficiency.

We are looking for a Head of Therapy with an excellent range of managerial and clinical experience to oversee our established service.
