About The Role

We are currently seeking a Ward Manager to join our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) at The Huntercombe Hospital Stafford, located in Wheaton Aston, 10 miles from Telford & 12 miles from Wolverhampton. You will lead and manage the Ward at Huntercombe Hospital Stafford.  Working with a full Multi-disciplinary team, you will be required to implement and manage clinical processes, embedding policies and procedures.

You will also support the Head of Nursing in establishing a high quality service, ensuring CQC standards are being met and providing Clinical leadership to the nursing team.

The post holder will:
  • Provide day to day management of a team of staff working within the service.
  • Work closely with the Head of Nursing to ensure the efficient and effective running of their areas of responsibility.
  • Deputise for line manager when asked to do so and, along with other members of the senior team, form part of the on call rota over 24/7.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of patient-centred services.
  • Contribute to the successful attainment of national quality and safety objectives.
  • Provide specialist clinical advice and care within designated area responsibility.

To be considered suitable for this post you will:-

Experienced Nurse Manager

Experience of working in CAMHS desirable

Experience in supervising and management of staff

Be able to demonstrate initiative and creativity.

Be flexible and adaptable, well organised and able to manage time and workload effectively in line with the needs of the service.

Wholly adopt a person centred ethos, showing empathy and a desire to make a difference.

Have a legal right to work in the UK.
