Learning Support Assistant

Location – Maidenhead

Postcode area - SL6 0PQ

Salary – £11.39 per hour

Annual Salary - Pro Rata - £7107.36

Hours – 2 days a week (Monday & Tuesday)- 12 hours – term time only

Just 1/2 mile of Junction 7 of the M4, two miles from Maidenhead and six miles from Windsor. One mile from Burnham station which is on the Paddington/Reading mainline route, one mile from Taplow station. On-site free parking

What to expect from the role?

As a LSA, the successful candidate will be working alongside our teachers to support learning activities, help prepare the class room for daily activities and help and support pupils who require extra support to complete tasks, this maybe in small groups or one-to-one with students. Your role will include acting as an exam invigilator during the exam season, record keeping of independent work and support with IEPs and setting targets. You will join a supportive and experienced team of dedicated education and support staff. Full training and development will be provided along with a bespoke induction programme. With the support of colleagues, you will develop the skills, confidence and experience to deal with the challenging but rewarding environment within a specialist field

Huntercombe Hospital Maidenhead, part of the Active Care Group, is a Tier 4 Child and Adolescent Mental Health (CAMHS) hospital for young people aged 12-18 with a diagnosed mental health condition.

Set in stunning grounds, across four buildings, we specialise in supporting young people with severe or complex mental health conditions who need intensive inpatient treatment. The Huntercombe Hospital School Maidenhead is seeking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant working with age groups 12 to 18.
