We have an amazing opportunity for Night Shift Support Workers to join our caring and support team at our Stafford Hospital. Supporting young people aged 12-18 with a diagnosed mental health condition. Providing plenty of opportunities to participate in the development of the hospital so we can provide the best support possible for our young people!
Our Night Shifts are 8pm to 8.15am
Please note although the position is for Night Shifts training will be provided during the day - you will need to be able to attend this initially and then periodically to keep your training up to date.
Stafford Hospital is a Tier 4 Child and Adolescent Mental Health (CAMHS) hospital with 36 bedrooms across 3 wards that all care and support young people who are diagnosed with a Mental Health condition. We strive to provide the best for our young people our facilities include an Ofsted Registered on-site School, High Intensity Suite, Occupational Therapy Kitchen, Gym, Outdoor Sports Area, including a basketball court, Three cabins for therapy, keep fit and a multi-faith cabin
As a Support Worker you will:
- A genuine interest in providing the best person centre care possible for our young people
- Build relationships with patients, which are open and two way
- Support patients to undertake their rehabilitation programme
- Establish methods of communication with patients, reducing barriers when necessary
- Assist patients with mealtimes where necessary
- Support with activities of daily living and personal care when needed
- Communication any issues to the clinical team
- Accurately report and/or record work activities
- The ability to communicate effectively at all levels
- Experience working within the care sector / mental health would be an advantage but not essential
