About The Role

Maintenance Technician:  Accrington/ Blackburn

Full Time: 37.5hrs Per week

Salary: Circa £25,000 DOE

The Huntercombe Group are looking for a Maintenance Person who will positively promote excellent health and safety standards. You will be based at a small care facility in the North West and carry out the routine maintenance at this and two other similar facilities close by.

Responsibilities will be:

  • To provide maintenance and upkeep of the service buildings including painting and decorating, repairs to fixtures and fittings and furniture, routine testing of the security and Fire Detection Equipment, Emergency Lighting and Fire Exits, monitoring of gas and electricity systems, water systems and sewage systems, carrying our safety inspectionson electrical equipment and maintaining inventory records for the same.
  • Maintenance of all roads and pathways including cold tar repairs, cleaning and snow and ice clearance and prevention operations.
  • The recording of all data associated with Estates Operations
  • Maintenance of all grounds and lawns using the plant and equipment supplied and the care and maintenance of all specialist Estates equipment including PPE.
  • Monitoring and handling of waste and ensuring compliance with waste regulations.
  • Stock and storage of all equipment and maintenance and cleanliness of all storage areas.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Maintenance of all roads and pathways.
  • Snow and ice clearance and prevention.
  • Maintenance of all grounds and lawns.
  • Care and maintenance of specialist Estates equipment.
  • Monitoring and control of waste.
  • Storage of all equipment and maintenance of storage areas.
  • Full UK driving licence required
 

About You

Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications

  • Comply with the Mental Health Act related to job role and service requirements.
  • Willingness to travel between the 3 local sites, as instructed by the Property team and/ or line manager
  • Adopt a professional approach to patient / resident care at all times
  • Possess a clean current driving license
  • Relevant qualifications and experience
  • Be required to develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues, visitors, carers, members of the multi-disciplinary care team and senior professional and managerial staff.
  • Conform at all times to the Policies and Procedures of the Company
  • Maintain and support all quality initiatives and objectives introduced into the organisation.
  • To be familiar and comply with the service Business Continuity Plan in case of an emergency.
  • Take personal responsibility for ensuring that resources are used efficiently and with minimum wastage
  • Have access to a wide range of confidential information about patients, staff and the company which must not be divulged to any unauthorised person in any circumstances at any time in accordance with the Company’s policies and procedures in relation to the Data Protection Act and Information Governance.
