About The Role

We are currently seeking a Maintenance Officer to join our team at The Huntercombe Brain Injury Rehabilitation and Neurological Care Centre - Nottingham.

The centre is located on the outskirts of Hucknall and provides long-term person-centred care and support for male and female adults (aged 18+ years), with either a brain injury or complex neurological condition.

The Role:
Working as part of a team, this is a full time role working 37.5 hours per week. The hours of work are Monday to Friday 8am – 4pm and 9am – 5pm on alternate weeks and there will also be a requirement to be on an out of hours and weekend call rota.  
 
Driving is required in this job, so a full driving licence is required. 
 
Main responsibilities: 
To provide maintenance and upkeep of the Hospital buildings including painting and decorating, repairs to fixtures and fittings and furniture, routine testing of the security and Fire Detection Equipment, Emergency Lighting and Fire Exits, monitoring of gas and electricity systems, water systems and sewage systems, carrying our safety inspections  on electrical equipment and maintaining inventory records for the same.
Maintenance of pathways including cleaning and snow and ice clearance and prevention operations.
The recording of all data associated with Estates Operations manual.
Maintenance of all grounds and lawns using the plant and equipment supplied and the care and maintenance of all specialist Estates equipment including PPE.
Stock and storage of all equipment and maintenance and cleanliness of all storage areas.
 
We are paying £19,285.50 pa. 
 
Please note regulations are changing; from 11th November 2021, all care home workers regardless of contracted hours or status, and anyone entering a CQC regulated care home, will need to be fully vaccinated, unless they are exempt under the regulations. Anyone who enters a care home for a job interview must also show proof of vaccination unless they are exempt. If someone intends to have the vaccination but is not yet vaccinated, interviews will take place outside of the care home or remotely (via video call or telephone).
