About The Role

Hothfield Brain Injury Rehabilitation and Neurological Care Centre is a 32 bed specialist hospital set within the 12 acre grounds of a manor house. We provide care to adults who have suffered a brain injury or suffer with a complex neurological condition from early stages of recovery from a brain injury, through to long term specialist residential care.

We are located on the outskirts of the village of Hothfield, just four miles from the busy town of Ashford with Ashford International and Charing train stations nearby. There is also ample free parking on site.

We are recruiting an experienced Maintenance Officer to join our team on a permanent and full time basis. Working hours are Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 4.30pm and we pay £9.32 per hour.
Main responsibilities:
• To provide maintenance and upkeep of the Hospital buildings including painting and decorating, repairs to fixtures and fittings and furniture, routine testing of the security and Fire Detection Equipment, Emergency Lighting and Fire Exits, monitoring of gas and electricity systems, water systems and sewage systems, carrying our safety inspections on electrical equipment and maintaining inventory records for the same.
• Maintenance of pathways including cleaning and snow and ice clearance and prevention operations.
• The recording of all data associated with Estates Operations manual.
• Maintenance of all grounds and lawns using the plant and equipment supplied and the care and maintenance of all specialist Estates equipment including PPE.
• Stock and storage of all equipment and maintenance and cleanliness of all storage areas.
 
To be considered for an interview, you will have previous experience in a property maintenance role, ideally with basic plumbing, electrical or decorating skills and a Full UK Driving licence
 
Please note regulations are changing; from 11th November 2021, anyone entering some of our offices / services / Hospitals, will need to be fully vaccinated unless they are exempt under the regulations. Anyone entering for a job interview at Hothfield Brain Injury Rehabilitation and Neurological Care Centre must also show proof of vaccination unless they are exempt. If you intend to have the vaccination but are not yet vaccinated, interviews will take place remotely (via video call or telephone).
