About The Role

About You

Main responsibilities of the Occupational Therapy Assistant are:

  • To work under the supervision of a qualified and registered Occupational Therapist and participate in personal development (CPD).


  • To assist the Occupational Therapist in their assessment, provide a variety of therapeutic intervention, evaluation and informing care planning and risk management procedures.


  • Where applicable, to be responsible for the running of Occupational Therapy led group and development on both onsite / offsite activities / events.


  • To provide and receive information, written and oral and maintain all written and electronic documents.


  • To participate in multi-disciplinary meetings, including care reviews and care planning meetings.


  • To contribute to service evaluation and development and where appropriate, participate in induction, training delivery and education of students and other staff.
  •  To maintain social media platforms and lead as Communication Champion for the service
