About The Role

 Speech & Language Therapy Rehabilitation Technician

Full time – 37.5 hours per week 
Salary – £19,734 to £20,845 pa

Blackheath Brain Injury Rehabilitation Centre is located in South East London, close to the A2 and with good public transport access.

We are looking for a dynamic and confident individual who is keen to learn and looking for a job which makes a difference to people’s lives.  Do you have experience of working with people with disability? Blackheath has an established reputation for delivering specialised rehabilitation to adults with acquired brain injury and neurodisability.

As a Rehabilitation Technician, you will work with patients under the supervision of the Speech & Language Therapy team. Working closely with the multidisciplinary team you will deliver therapy, facilitate groups, coordinate and provide patient centred activities. You should be able to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, good IT skills, and be able to follow therapy plans, working well within a team. Ideally you will have some experience of rehabilitation but must have experience of working in care.

Day-to-day, you will play an integral role in patient therapy programmes, developing and maintaining high quality communication resources, attending team meetings and clinical handovers, and supporting us to keep up to date records of patient progress.  There will be plenty of opportunity to participate in the development of the Speech & Language Therapy service and develop your skills and knowledge in this field.
