About The Role

Crisis Support Worker - Roehampton
At Huntercombe Roehampton we provide a Psychiatric Intensive Care Service (PICU) for men and women as well as an acute service for men. We specialise in the treatment and rehabilitation of adults experiencing a sudden mental health crisis and who pose a high risk to themselves or others. Many of our patients present with multiple difficulties and need immediate inpatient treatment in a safe setting.
Our patients come to us when they are at their lowest and most vulnerable. They are emotional and can become violent from frustration, anger or fear. We provide a high ratio of Support Workers to patients when there is a need. It can be quite challenging here (at times) although it is rewarding when we are able to help patients with their recovery.
We are recruiting Crisis Support Workers who are resilient, compassionate and positive with an ability to remain calm in a crisis. We operate a 12 hour shift system on a rota to cover days and waking nights.
As a Crisis Support Worker you will assist nursing staff by providing high quality individualised care to our patients, relatives and carers and work as a key member of the team, supporting each patient in achievement of their recovery and planned outcomes.
